We are currently seeking top talent for the position of Corporate Legal Advisor. In this capacity, you will support the legal department in addressing all day-to-day legal matters. The role encompasses a wide range of legal disciplines, including public law, maritime law, civil law, criminal law, commercial law, labor law, insurance law, and more, along with issues related to real estate, customs, and other relevant areas. Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee communications and ensure contractual compliance among suppliers, including the notification of applicable contractual penalties.
  • Manage the administrative processes for receiving, reviewing, and approving invoices within the designated legal department tool.
  • Validate the inclusion and adherence to business policies in service contracts in collaboration with the procurement department and category owners.
  • Assist the legal team with local legislation and regulatory requirements from various authorities.
  • Conduct research on pertinent laws, regulations, and legal articles.
  • Perform investigations and statistical/documentary research.
  • Provide administrative support to enhance the efficiency of the legal department.
  • Organize and prepare documents for attorney review in anticipation of administrative hearings, court dates, or trials.
  • Assist with handling exhibits, note-taking, or reviewing trial transcripts.
  • Draft and review legal correspondence and official company documents.
  • Advise, draft, review, and negotiate customer and procurement contracting requirements across all company departments.
  • Obtain affidavits and other necessary formal statements.
  • Conduct research, follow-ups, and reports on specific assignments as directed by Legal Management.
  • Claims Management: Assist in reviewing, assigning, and investigating claims; draft necessary notifications and resolutions regarding claim procedures.
  • Fulfill additional tasks related to the position as requested by the Legal Manager.
  • Engage in corporate governance matters.
  • Advise the business on laws and regulations impacting commercial relationships.
  • Stay informed about changes in laws and regulatory issues affecting the company to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with legal principles, procedures, and court systems.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in legal matters, preferably in public law, the port sector, customs, administrative law, or transportation.
  • Sound knowledge of the daily operations of a legal office.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proactive in identifying potential issues, managing prevention, and developing contingency plans and alternative solutions.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, result measurement, and corrective action when necessary; effective negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering an environment of effective communication and respect.
