This role is responsible for service desk support and daily IT operations in a Microsoft-centric environment, ensuring consistent and timely ticket resolution while working closely with the internal IT support and operations team.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and motivated IT professional with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, passion for problem-solving, collaboration, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and action IT service desk queue and system alerts/logs
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate incidents and service requests while meeting service-level objectives
- Collaborate with other departments and leadership to review and analyze hardware, software, and service needs
- Conduct employee onboarding and departure processes, including account creation/management, hardware assignment, deployment, and inventory tracking
- Procurement of IT equipment, peripherals, software, and services
Qualifications and Skills:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in an IT Analyst, Systems Administrator, or similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for learning new skills and technologies
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization
