We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Room Coordinator to join our team at Marriott Worldwide. As a key member of our Rooms & Guest Services Operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have an exceptional experience from check-in to check-out.

Responsibilities:

  • Assign rooms to guests based on their preferences and needs, whenever possible.

  • Pre-register designated guests and prepare key packets for a smooth check-in process.

  • Organize and coordinate check-in procedures for arriving groups, ensuring that all necessary documents are in order.

  • Review and track requests for room changes, communicating status to relevant staff members.

  • Confirm reservations and cancellations, verifying details to ensure accuracy.

  • Review out-of-order rooms daily, addressing any issues promptly to minimize disruptions.

  • Ensure rates match market codes and document exceptions, maintaining the highest level of accuracy.

  • Verify and adjust billing for guests, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Process all guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, activating room keys as needed.

  • Secure valid payment methods for all guests, preventing any unauthorized transactions.

  • Identify over-commitments and perform duplicate reservation checks, blocking rooms as necessary to prevent errors.

  • Run daily reports to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been met to their satisfaction, providing excellent customer service.

  • Receive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly, maintaining confidentiality when necessary.

  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, adhering to company policies and procedures.

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs promptly.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
