About the Role
This role requires a highly skilled and customer-oriented individual to promote our products and services over the counter to customers, achieving sales goals and objectives while leveraging customer experience and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote FedEx products, services, and packaging materials to customers over the counter or on the phone, identifying business needs, offering information, options, and recommendations to support requests, providing an outstanding customer experience following sales goals, leveraging customer experience, and profitability of ship centers.
- Process information and support management to run reports using FedEx systems and internal controls to monitor daily sales, cash validation, volume, and other related information of retail sales processes and results.
- Follow established procedures for closing counters and cash, including printing reports, reconciling packages and money, cash recap, making scans, and preparing deposits, as well as closing out envelopes.
- Collaborate with fulfillment of budget, income/expenses, supporting optimization of profitability of Ship Center with resource optimization.
- Keep Retail Coordinator and/or Manager updated regarding daily activities' results and major issues.
- Comply with auditing and management requests regarding safety, first aid kits, ship center maintenance, etc., such as PCI and Retail Inventory.
- Provide various services over the counter to assist customers with inquiries and needs, such as tracking, checking, and/or storing packages, verifying proper labeling, wrapping, insurance values, special requirements for hazardous material shipment, and compliance with customs documentation.
- Perform other tasks requested by management to support the operation of the ship center, such as maintaining a clean work area, opening and closing branches, supporting clients in loading and unloading shipments, reconciling and scanning packages, checking furniture and work supplies, and requesting necessary packaging materials and other supplies.
- Possess basic skills in using computer/technology, including scanners, printers, and intranet, with the ability to perform basic maintenance tasks.
