Culinary Event Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Event Supervisor to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our food and beverage department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring exceptional service quality, and driving customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a supervisor to cooks and workers, coordinating activities to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Determine menu presentation, creating visually appealing food displays that exceed guest expectations.
- Maintain inventory control, monitoring stock levels to prevent waste and ensure adequate supplies.
- Foster strong relationships with Food & Beverage service staff, keeping them informed of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
- Prepare special meals and substitute items as needed, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
- Provide support to cooks and kitchen staff with tasks such as ordering, receiving, and storing supplies.
- Conduct regular audits to maintain kitchen logs for food safety programs and track product expiration dates.
- Evaluate and address any issues related to food quality, promptly notifying management if products do not meet specifications.
- Collaborate with management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
