The Role

We are looking for a skilled and confident Team Lead Accountant to join our Accounts Payable team. In this role, you will work closely with the AP Team Captain and other team members to coordinate daily tasks, escalations, and processing of invoices and payments. You will also be responsible for reviewing and monitoring invoice processing to ensure proper approvals in line with our Delegation of Authority.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate company updates and new information in real-time to all team members.
  • Oversee team attendance and approve timecards before the payroll deadline.
  • Champion our core values so they become part of your team's vocabulary and processes.
  • Create development plans for team members.
  • Define performance objectives and determine acceptable performance levels.
  • Resolve escalated customer situations when needed.
  • Monitor records of amounts owed and assure prompt action and payment of invoices.
  • Create recommendations for changes in methods and procedures to improve the efficiency of our Accounts Payable processes.
  • Provide metrics from the team's performance and present improvements.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with peers and cross-functionally within the company.
  • Understand the language/terms/jargon in the P2P realm.
  • Knowledge that underlies effective decision-making and can describe where anomalies or flaws may occur in the decision-making process for the P2P process.
  • Act as the go-to person within a department or function for questions and problems within P2P processes.
  • Excellent recordkeeping and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborating & Influencing: works well with others, effectively listening as well as sharing necessary information, team building.
  • Strong market knowledge and experience working across various functions, businesses, and regions.

Technical Requirements

  • Over 3 years of demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable with at least 1 year experience in a SME or leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or Accounting required.
  • Microsoft Excel must be advanced.
  • Strong market knowledge and experience working across various functions, businesses, and regions.
  • Knowledge of P2P process is a must.
  • Knowledge and proficiency of Coupa.
  • Knowledge and proficiency of NetSuite.
  • English level Strong B2+, C-, C+.
