Role Overview

You will become a vital part of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, serving as a liaison to business units. This position involves collaboration with finance and business partners across the Latin Americas and Global FP&A.

Your Responsibilities

You will oversee accounting entries, execute monthly financial activities, and prepare reconciliations for inventory and manufacturing, ensuring thorough follow-up.

Your role will focus on providing accounting support primarily for inventory processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, initiative in problem-solving, and exceptional communication and customer service abilities. Attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and adherence to procedures are essential to meet departmental objectives.

Key Duties Include:

Reconciling inventory and manufacturing accounts, including Finished Goods, Raw Materials, Work in Progress, Goods Received Not Invoiced, and Maintenance, Repair, and Operations Consignment. Communicating and resolving discrepancies in reconciliations. Calculating and analyzing inventory revaluation and Lower of Cost or Market processes. Engaging with Corporate, Finance, and Non-Finance teams to clarify financial topics. Participating in balance sheet review meetings to discuss inventory account variances. Conducting month-end closing activities and journal entries. Reviewing and approving account reconciliations and manual journal entries. Delivering customer service and addressing ad-hoc requests. Coordinating standardization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Supporting the standardization of reconciliation processes and Baxter's internal control standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in similar roles. Proficiency in English at a B2 level. Strong foundational knowledge and experience in accounting. Advanced skills in Excel. Familiarity with systems such as JDE 8.12, GME, and Maximo.
