Your Role at Baxter/Vantive
As a Senior Inventory Analyst, you will be responsible for performing complex inventory analysis for stakeholders in a timely manner. This will involve accounting for inventory technical accounting areas such as on-hand, in-transit, work-in-progress, finished goods, maintenance, repair, and operations, and other reserves. You will also prepare and/or manual journals as needed with adequate supporting documentation and certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex inventory analysis for stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Account for inventory technical accounting areas such as on-hand, in-transit, work-in-progress, finished goods, maintenance, repair, and operations, and other reserves.
- Prepare and/or manual journals as needed with adequate supporting documentation and certification.
- Perform and/or approve inventory account reconciliations in Blackline per established deadlines, follow up to resolve open items.
- Provide audit support as needed.
- Support regional and global reporting requirements such as monthly balance sheet flux analysis.
- Support monthly/quarterly/annual close processes.
- Ensure adherence of processes to company policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements, and local rules and regulations; support strengthening of financial processes and controls.
- Support local, regional, and global projects as required.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Create, maintain all DTPs, SOPs, critical spreadsheets to execute job activities.
- Coordinate a team to complete main process accurately and timely.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience. Inventory accounting experience with a manufacturing entity preferred.
- Proven experience in a multinational environment and/or shared services.
- Strong technical, research, and analytical skills.
- Closely attention to detail, quality, and control.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results in an efficient and timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, organizing, prioritizing, and communicating effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Excel skills (Power Queries); experience with JD Edwards, Alteryx is a plus.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English (B2+).
- Additional hours at critical times (e.g., month-end) may be required. Also, and on an exceptional basis, the role may require work on public holidays.
