We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunication Specialist I to join our team at Abbott. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer support and technical assistance to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Answer calls from hospital staff and provide paging services for Abbott Sales Representatives, physicians, and hospital personnel.
- Pull up patient tracking information and take down contact details for the calling hospital.
- Determine the specific Sales Representative covering the hospital or city/state and send a text message with case information.
- Perform outbound calls to confirm receipt of case information and triage calls using approved troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide after-hours support and follow outlined protocols to answer questions and troubleshoot with customers and Abbott field personnel.
- Meet department performance expectations and proactively communicate with supervisors about open cases and escalations.
- Adhere to Abbott company policies, operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Support company initiatives and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain professional communications and collaboration with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- High school degree
- Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)
- 1+ years of experience in customer service, product support, IT, telecommunications, or a related field
- Knowledge of computer systems, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience in the biotech, bio-instruments, or medical devices industries
