Responsibilities

  • Develop category-specific requirements and scopes of work aligned with business needs and client sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct spend analytics and leverage analytical expertise to deliver a comprehensive total cost of ownership, assisting clients in achieving measurable cost savings.
  • Initiate and structure efficient RFx processes, engage in supplier negotiations, and support negotiation strategies based on supplier proposals and spend analytics.
  • Utilize your advanced sourcing skills to manage supplier selection processes, providing data and recommendations to ensure informed business decisions while developing contractual agreements in collaboration with our clients' business and legal teams.
  • Collaborate with Client Category Managers and/or Subject Matter Experts on project strategies; determine the sourcing approach and methodology to be applied based on the strategy.
  • Lead and execute the GEP sourcing process from initiation to completion, including spend data collection and analysis, supply market analysis, and supplier discovery as needed. Manage suppliers throughout the sourcing process, including conducting supplier orientation and training on the sourcing process, followed by follow-ups on milestone activities.
  • Perform thorough analysis of submitted proposals, facilitate supplier evaluations, draw conclusions, prepare comprehensive summaries, and present findings to clients in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications

  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or a combination of relevant experience.
  • Experience: 3 to 6 years of prior experience in managing Strategic Sourcing is essential, along with experience in the procure-to-pay process, RFX auctions, and procurement processes.
  • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English (both spoken and written). Knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage.

Additional Skills:

  • Intermediate to advanced financial and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Strong sourcing skills, including familiarity with sourcing methodologies and processes, e-Sourcing technology, RFX development, facilitation, and management.
  • Experience in auction development, including parameter setting.
  • Supplier engagement and negotiation strategy development.
  • Team management experience (leading a team of analysts).
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance and direction.
  • Familiarity with various best practice sourcing approaches and techniques.
  • Strong capability to handle client issues and escalations with sensitivity and diligence, minimizing the need for further escalation.
  • Excellent project management skills, including project planning, time management, multitasking, and critical path definition.
  • Strong customer service orientation, demonstrated communication skills during issue resolution, and relationship management abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and master client-specific processes, terminology, political environments, systems, and unique requirements from various business groups.
