Role/Responsibilities
Technical Trainers prepare and maintain technical training programs that educate people and help develop their technical skills. Technical trainers should have in-depth knowledge and technical capability in their field of expertise. They must be excellent communicators, and they have outstanding organizational and time leadership skills.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain training materials
- Assist with onboarding new Level 2 Technical Support Analysts
- Train team members on new technologies and changes to existing processes
- Collaborate with other support teams to ensure documentation and processes are up to date
- Conduct surveys and evaluate training efficiency and effectiveness
- Schedule training sessions as needed
- Continuously identify new standard processes and provide opportunities to help strengthen team members through training and mentoring
- Make recommendations on optimizing processes
- Advise on new training opportunities to prioritize new or enhanced training material
- Proactively identify trends using data and feedback to address skill and capability gaps
**Qualifications**:
Minimum education and work experience required for this position include:
- Bachelor’s required.
- 3 years of demonstrated ability in related fields
- Knowledge of ITIL®.
- THE KEY COMPETENCIES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE:
- Experience in training Level 1 and Level 2 Helpdesk / Deskside resources
- A good understanding of Moody’s business and overall IT operations.
- The ability or the potential to take on higher level responsibilities.
- Demonstrated group leadership and the willingness to take on leadership roles.
- Demonstrated willingness to go beyond the normal job requirements.
- Demonstrated interest and engagement in infrastructure projects and QA testing
- Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders and end users to facilitate feedback and partnering on deliverables
- The ability to finish the tasks and projects in a timely manner
- The ability to conduct themselves in a mature and professional manner towards clients and co-workers (accountability, use of good judgment, provide proper follow-up)
- Good organizational skills and excellent proven troubleshooting and crisis management abilities.
- Good interpersonal skills both verbal and written, with the ability to work successfully with all levels of management across the organization.
- Known as a motivated teammate with the capability to work with mínimal direction.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and Outlook).
- Working knowledge of Audio Visual technologies
- Understanding of network protocols including DNS, Cisco Telephony, and equipment (routers/switches)
- Knowledge with mobile technology including Android and iOS
