**Process Optimization Project Manager**
At Smartsheet Costa Rica
As a **Process Optimization Project Manager**, you will act in a cross-functional role on behalf of the Finance Operations teams to improve the Order-to-Cash process in a way that supports scalability and supports changes in the business. You will use your project management expertise to plan, manage, and coordinate process improvement projects that solve business-critical issues, making sure that from start to finish the projects hit each milestone commitment and deliver on time, and on budget. You will use your exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to work with cross-functional teams to complete project work while keeping all stakeholders well-informed. In this capacity, you will contribute to the shaping and re-engineering of operational processes and financial system changes that will help grow Smartsheet to a billion-dollar company.

This role is located in Costa Rica and will report to the Manager of Process Optimization.
**You Will**:
- Execute improvement projects from start to finish, while keeping all relevant stakeholders informed.
- Create and manage business requirements, project scheduling, budgeting and securing resources.
- Monitor and assign individual responsibilities and enforce accountability of tasks and deadlines.
- Clearly communicate project/delivery risk, and recommend actions to mitigate those risks, to senior leadership for awareness and to inform decisions.
- Maintain standard project management documentation and metrics with limited direction.
- Work with business owners to gather complete project information and requirements prior to kickoff.
- Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout the project life cycle.
- Build relationships and nurture positive, collaborative working relationships with internal and external colleagues.
- Continually improve upon the project management process and provide recommendations to management.
- Identify and drive opportunities to refine processes through the use of technology and elimination of non-value added activities.
- Investigate reported pain points, identify root cause, determine the impact on the end-to-end process, and work with teams across Smartsheet to develop the best path for resolution (DealOps, Legal, Sales Systems, IT, Finance, and Engineering).
- Gather data, determine appropriate metrics, and conduct analysis to ensure that established goals are met and process improvements are sustained.
**You Have**:
- 4+ years of related experience, finance operations background preferred.
- 6+ years program or project management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Working knowledge of Project Management Fundamentals and Lean Six Sigma methodology (PMP Certification preferred).
- Experience working across multiple departments, teams, and timezones.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Sound judgment and effective prioritization skills.
- Experience working with Salesforce and NetSuite or similar systems (Experience working with Smartsheet is a bonus).
- Must have the ability to learn quickly, adapt to new situations and navigate ambiguity.
- Knowledge of Finance workflows and best practices.
