The Project Manager will be part of our Process Excellence Program (PEP) and be responsible for leading end to end process improvement projects both for Finance and potentially across Moody's.
The Process Excellence Program focuses on both enabling the business to execute on their own projects and provides support by leading end to end projects.
The team interfaces with stakeholders across the company and provides advisory and capability services to enable Moody's to effectively solve problems, increases the value project leaders generate by offering a suite of tools, templates and self-paced learning, provides mentoring to improve project success and provides full life-cycle project management support.
Functional Responsibilities
- Lead end to end Finance process improvement projects including process analysis, design and overall execution.
- Advise and support project teams through project identification, planning (scope and goals definition, project roles and responsibilities, deliverables, results measurement) and execution.
- Support the PEP internal certification program from end to end including communication strategy, project identification, brainstorming meetings, internal resource planning, program effectiveness and overarching program management as well as other housekeeping tasks.
- Support teams in the establishment of baseline metrics and KPIs across cross-functional processes
- Define, monitor and report out on metrics (KPIs) to measure the performance of the initiatives in their scope of work.
- Support the overall business enablement strategy implementation of the process excellence program - including contributing with new ideas.
- Provide coaching and mentoring and contribute to the development of trainings and workshops on project management and process improvement.
- Support administration, maintenance and improvements of Process Excellence SharePoint and PowerBi Process Excellence KPI Dashboard.
Engage with stakeholders to track and collect project metrics results
- Actively participate in Process Excellence Communications and support the creation of related content.
- Support the Process Excellence team with internal projects.
- Minimum of 3-5 years related project management experience.
- Minimum 3 year process improvement experience.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma.
Green Belt is a plus.
- Coaching experience is a plus
- Strong process mapping and Visio skills
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills
- Strong experience with metrics, KPIs and how to establish baselines and targets.
- Strong attention to detail and time management in all aspects of planning and execution.
- Process oriented mind-set with a demonstrated history of achievement.
- Ability to logically identify the root cause of problems and get to resolution quickly and efficiently.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently or as part of a global team
- Collaborative and strong team player
- Familiarity with internal LSS cetification process is a plus.
- Undergraduate BA/BS degree in business, finance/economics, management or similar field; MBA a plus
- Must have some experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or others.
Hands-on experience in data analytics tools like Excel, DAX, SQL Server, etc.
- A base understanding of relational database architecture, financial systems architecture.
