**Job Overview**:
We provide the critical hosting platform and development tooling for all of Citi's major container initiatives. Join us in expanding Citi's growing internal cloud and help spearhead the next generation of modern Kubernetes and automation tools. This role includes management of developers and engineers & working with our clients to help them meet their automation goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Drive development of automation strategy in line with standards rolled out by Automation Engineering to accomplish CTI and Business goals
- Lead and motivate the Automation team, conducting administrative responsibilities such as performance evaluation and management, employee selection, compensation, and resource planning
- Effectively manage the Automation Development team to deliver complex multiple projects on time and to budget
- Oversee Automation project plans, manage deadlines and dependencies and coordinate Automation and IT teams activities
- Manage sub-contract resource, and ensure compliance with all Citi Policies
- Provide services by using insights from Sys Admins, Production Support, Development Teams and actively seeking information to understand issues, expectations, and needs
- Reduce Level 2 repetitive tasks by implementing automation solutions/tools
- Ensure essential Citi procedures/policies are followed and contributes to the continuous improvement efforts
- Persuade and influence others through communication and diplomacy skills and negotiate with external parties as needed

**Qualifications**:

- 10+ years of experience in a technology infrastructure role with experience in people and project management and selected infrastructure technologies
- Experience in financial services or large complex and/or global environment preferred
- Experience with Agile methodologies Scrum/Kanban
- Experience with JIRA, Service Now and Confluence
- Experience in proposing, adopting, or providing feedback on new processes & technologies
- Good knowledge in Automation, configuration and patching tools such as Ansible, RBA, Chef, Starfleet etc
- Knowledge of Unix (AIX and Solaris), Linux and Windows Operating Systems
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication with ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Proven analytical, diagnostic and multitasking skills with focus on execution and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to both work independently and partner with virtual teams in a high-pressure matrix environment
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of various parts of a project/initiative with tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectation/ requirements
