Logistic Specialist

Team Overview and Job responsibilities

The Costa Rica logistics team, based in Heredia that is in charge of the shipping and warehousing operation is looking for a motivated and talented Logistics Specialist who will be responsible for all aspects of the dispatch cycle.

The Logistics Specialist will work closely with the logistics supervisor and other cross-functional departments.

Main responsibilities

• Monitor the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and protection of equipment and make recommendations for improvements.
• Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that the team's resources are used effectively, and that work schedules and targets are met.
• Generate the daily shipment plan looking to achieve the monthly volume and on time delivery goals.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse preparation of sales orders and execute billing processes.
• Analysis, followup and resolution of the customer claims.

Who are we looking for?

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree or advanced student in industrial engineering, business administration or related field.
• At least 2+ years of experience in logistics processes; invoicing experience is preferred.
• Transportation planning processes experience is preferred.
• Availability for rotating schedules.
• Intermediate to advanced English (preferred).
• Dispatch claims administration is preferred.
• SAP experience is preferred.
