Huntsman is seeking a Product Specialist supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in San Jose, Costa Rica .
Job Scope
We are seeking an enthusiastic product / portfolio specialist to work in our Marketing team. Reporting directly to the Product Portfolio Manager, the individual will perform activities that continually monitor and improve the health of our product lines in the Americas.
As the Product Specialist, you will:
Under direction, execute product management process, tracking product lifecycles and implementing changes to improve the overall portfolio health. Using SAP and Master Data systems, manage our product portfolio and ensure internal process compliance. Continuously review and track product costs, working closely with procurement and manufacturing sites. Participate in our innovation stage gate process to ensure completion of product introduction tasks in a timely manner. Under direction, review our business opportunity pipeline and ensure they align with our site capacity, timelines, and Material Master Data alignment. Monitor and report on project related inventory, working closely with Supply Chain. Support Operational Marketing team to maintain portfolio sample inventory. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Technical Service, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and Regulatory to execute on portfolio related activities.
Required Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering or any business discipline in marketing or product management. Fluent in English, written, reading, and oral.Experiences:
Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in chemical manufacturing preferred. SAP and Material Master module experience essential. Experienced on Microsoft 365 Suite. Advanced Excel required.Competencies / Skills:
Must possess effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented, analytical, and organized with excellent follow-up and problem-solving skills. Works well independently with a positive attitude. Adaptable to changing priorities and timelines. Travel up to 10% of the time.
