Technical Project Manager

As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead project planning and management of IT-related initiatives to meet the organization’s strategic objectives. You will be responsible for the management and administration of the entire project life cycle, ensuring that projects are completed to specification within an established time frame and budget. This includes organizing resources, overseeing project timelines, creating reports, conducting stakeholder meetings and presentations, and project closeout. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be the lead subject matter expert for technology concerns within the project, and use your technical expertise to improve all aspects of project planning and resource management.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projectsDetermine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for team members required for specific projects or initiativesDrive development teams in the planning and execution of projects from initiation to closure, ensuring projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget, and get formal sign-off that the project is complete. Develop risk and quality management solutions to identify and address potential issues with delivery to ensure project success.Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projectsResearch and evaluate hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making large purchases on behalf of the companyEnsure all production technology documentation is up to dateManage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate clear communication channels and ensure they have the necessary resources to complete projects.Establish a formalized process for monitoring, reporting, and providing feedback on project resultsConduct post-project reviews to analyze successes, benchmark performance and identify areas for improvementPerform other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically and properly inherent to your role.Bachelor's degree in management information systems (MIS), computer science or another engineering-related field, or associate degree with 3+ years of experience with an information technology focus.Project Management Certification demonstrating strong understanding of project management.Background in technical communication is a plus 3+ years of experience in a technical project management role with a focus on consistent end-to-end delivery of initiatives. Ability to manage the interdependencies among projects, products, and other important strategic initiatives across an organization. Exceptional skills in time management, facilitation, and organizationAdvanced leadership, and people management skills. Ability to influence unpopular decisions while maintaining strong working relationships. Must be able to interact effectively across functions and cultures.Proven experience implementing and scaling new solutions, as well as monitoring and refining existing solutions to meet the company’s objectives, strategies, and forecasts.Client services mentality, flexibility and willingness to collaborate openly with other functions.Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to promptly establish priorities and communicate expectations.Able to build deep client and industry knowledge, and identify trends, gaps and opportunities from data and client/industry information.Strong communication skills, strong sense of commitment, troubleshooting skills and ability to deliver in a fast-paced global environment.Comfortable with ambiguity and able to change direction quickly when required by client or project needs.-
