We are currently seeking a Senior iOS Developer to join our team in Belen, Heredia (CR-H), Costa Rica (CR).

Position overview:

As an IOS Developer you will be responsible for working on the development of applications for devices powered by IOS operating system. Your primary focus will be development of iOS applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure.

Position's General Duties and Tasks:

Lead the design and development of innovative solutions to both technical and business problems.Leading architecture and development of iOS applicationsAccountable for exhibiting a strong understanding of client core business functions.Create plans that have a clear path to delivery. Solve for dependencies between agile and waterfall delivery efforts. Help your teams organize delivery while maximizing resources for the greater good of the Digital organization.Strong understanding of multi-tier architectures, design patterns and good engineering practicesExpertise in designing testable software and building large scale, complex applications.Collaborating with other developers, designers, and stakeholders is essential.User-centric /customer-centric focused, embrace Agile XP practice, and possess a learning mindset.Able to maintain and refactor existing codebases to best practices and new technologies.

Qualifications

Must have Skills:

Understand engineering best practices and apply best practices to the software development lifecycle (SDLC)Expertise with application development methodologies and standards for program analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and implementation.Mobile language: Swift, Java, Objective-C, etc.Hands-on frontend development experience with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScriptOne or more Coding Languages Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby knowledge is plus.Code Versioning Tools: CVS, Git, Mercurial, SVNDeep understanding of UIKit, Foundation, and other core iOS frameworksExperience with one or more Automated UI testing frameworks – Cocoa Touch, Jest, Karma, Protractor, Selenium, JasmineProficiency with Git and continuous integration/continuous deliveryFamiliarity with MVC frameworks like Symfony, Laravel, Zend

Nice to have:

Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCPWorking knowledge of Linux/UNIX systemsExperience in TDD or BDD a plus.Agile Kanban development methodologyAny Certification related to:Certified iOS developer, Scripting languages, Agile/Scrum, DevOps, Cloud

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or a related field.
