Job Title: Senior Android Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our team in Belen, Heredia, Costa Rica. As an Android developer, you will be responsible for designing and building the next generation of our mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create organization standards around Android Development best practices.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Interface with senior project staff and client senior management teams regarding the status of projects.
  • Recommend and oversee process improvements.
  • Build automation and tests to streamline the code-to-cash pipeline.
  • Collaborate with agile teams to identify approach, dependencies, tasks, and seek opportunities for automation.
  • Mentor other team members, help recruit, and onboard other top-talented developers.
  • Track data flow within the application and understand overall application business logic.
  • Create and use automation to support all development efforts.
  • Experience with Event-Driven and Event-Sourced architectures leveraging microservices.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Google Assistant and Actions on Google.
  • Programming experience in multiple scripting and programming languages and supporting technologies such as Reagent/React, Clojure/Clojure script, AWS Lambda, Java, Python, R, Ruby, Go, bash, Swift, Beanstalk.
  • Ability to create rapid prototypes to showcase not only potential new features to existing apps but new apps as well.
  • Work in iterative sprints to design, develop, and test solutions.
  • Strong experience in Android, Java, Kotlin, and consuming RESTful web services from mobile platforms.
  • Extensive experience with the MVVM and MVP design patterns.
  • Experience with fully automated development, build, test, promote processes of native apps.
  • Fluent with Android Development standards and app release guidelines and Material Design guidelines as set by Google.
  • Experience with push notifications and all their capabilities for loading to specific locations within an app.
  • Knowledge of Dagger, Retrofit, and RxJava.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in migrating applications to the cloud and building cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience in a Scaled Agile Framework DevOps environment.
  • Certification related to Android SDK, Java, Kotlin, Android Studio, Scripting language, DevOps, Scrum.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
