Senior Operations Analyst

Develops professional rapport and trust with collaborators globally to support MIS’ strategy and activities.
- Handles collaborator expectations and aligns objective of the area under test.
- Focus control testing projects, including reporting, on key risk areas based on objectives of the area under review maintaining shareholder value.
- Handles the end-to-end control testing delivery including (but not limited to) planning, execution, reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Proactively runs lifecycle (e.g. scheduling midpoint meeting, internal status meetings, related agendas).
- Communicates roles and expectations for project team at the start of the project and ensures project timelines are met.
- Review lifecycle deliverables clearly outlining the facts around issues, root cause, and collaborates with team members to develop relevant recommendations for the area under test.
- Acts as a role model by exemplifying dedication for team members.
- Coaches team members to improve their competence and professional development.
- Support efforts to standardize operational business processes and improve operating efficiency
- Understand the processes under review and uses critical thinking to ensure that identified risks are appropriately mitigated by management procedures
- Assist with performing root-cause analysis, remediation, and improvements in execution to strengthen operational controls and improve the overall control environment
- Proactively develop Subject Matter Expertise on Rating Processes as well as Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
- Able to identify risks associated with the area under testing
- Support teams in the identification of control issues and provide support in the resolution of the issue (self-identified issues)
- Run multiple tasks, prioritizing time and communicating potential conflicts to lead tester
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to the end-to-end MIS ratings process, business transformation initiatives or evolving regulatory requirements
- Collaborate and update supporting content and training materials (e.g. communications, Guidelines, FAQ’s, presentations, etc.)
- Undergraduate BA/BS degree in business, finance/economics, management, or similar field
- 5 + years of business process or business analysis experiences with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, preferably within an audit function and/or consulting
- Demonstrates an ability to identify risks and provides leading practice solutions to mitigate risks identified
- Prepare and review control testing deliverables for the area under review
- Ability to interact and lead collaborator relationships with different levels of management and articulate/present issues clearly and succinctly
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet tight individual and/or group deadlines

The Regulatory Support and Controls (RSC) team in MIS Operations is responsible for the execution, support, remediation, and controls of processes and enabling technology that support the end-to-end credit rating process and regulatory-mandated processes.

The Senior Operations Analyst represents a key role that will provide business as usual support to rating analysts, project management and tactical business process reviews that is critical to the execution of MIS strategies and the Control Testing.
