**BAT COSTA RICA IS LOOKING FOR A FINANCE ANALYST - ACCOUNTING**

**SENIORITY LEVEL**:Non-managerial

**FUNCTION**: Finance

**LOCATION**:Heredia, Costa Rica

**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES**

Responsible for the statutory and management accounting reporting processes, the reasonableness of the various financial reports and statements, and supporting consolidated reporting package submission to BAT Headquarters.

The role directly impacts the reporting of financial information for management and statutory purposes. The role is essential to ensure financial records are following fiscal and legal requirements and a strong environment is maintained.

**Geographic Scope**:Canada

**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**
- Participate in the Record to Report functions inclusive of Intercompany transactions, General Ledger, Reconciliations, Month and Year end Close activities, Statutory & Financial Reporting, Management reporting, data integrity, and quality.
- Act as a super user of Procure to Pay and Travel and Expenses processes.
- Participate in the preparation and analysis of financial documents to improve decision-making, thus optimizing the business divisions' financial performance within the overall corporate strategy.
- Responsible for the preparation of various submissions of the management reporting requirements (legal financial documents, dividends, royalties).
- Review reconciliations performed by the Finance Shared Services Centre in Costa Rica.
- Actively participate in audits by both external and internal auditors.
- Actively engage with Senior Managers to provide a status update regarding business initiatives and compliance.

**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience.
- MS Office - Medium/Sophisticated level.
- Strong Communication Skills and a proactive demeanor.
- Influential and good interpersonal skills.
- Diligent and analytical person.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision and with tight deadlines.
- English Level B2+.
- Degree with a professional accountancy qualification.

**BENEFICIAL**
- Knowledge of Canada and USA Local GAAP.
- Previous working experience in an accounting/Audit firm.
- Knowledge of BPC-SAP Systems.
