Vice President Finance Transformation

The Vice President in Finance Transformation will be part of the Finance Transformation Planning team, supporting FP&A initiatives. With a global remit, they will sit within the business, supporting the Senior Lead, to act as a bridge between the businesses’ vision and working with technology to deliver on the vision, for the benefit of the function and the enterprise. They will have a strategic mindset and strong Finance background, to help develop the ongoing strategy within their function and will be able to support their Senior Finance Architect’s vision. This role will be situated within a core team, comprising of a Senior Finance Lead, and Finance Analysts each bringing expertise from a wide range of industries - not just banking - to ensure true diversity in mindset and culture that is essential for creative and execution excellence at this level. With their Finance and Business partners, they will collaborate to deliver the vision for the pillar they support in the short and long term that serves all stakeholders and reinforces Citi as an industry leader. They will support the wider Finance Transformation Office in driving change in culture, risk and controls, architecture and technology, data, and communication. They love to challenge the status quo and have track record of successfully disrupting the “way its always been done” and delivering what good looks like. **Responsibilities**: - Drives finance transformation and product innovations in Citi’s finance portfolio, in particular FP&A related projects, helping to build the bank of the future and strengthening data driven decision-making. - Acts as a bridge between finance, business and technology to ensure that strategies and solutions are coherent and positioned to solve the right problems, in a timely fashion. - Interfaces across several business areas, acting as visionary to proactively assist in leveraging enterprise capabilities and services. - Provides Finance SME guidance to project team areas as appropriate. - Provide requirements for development of architecture, strategy, planning, and problem solving solutions on an enterprise level. - Exhibits knowledge of how Finance Transformation contributes to the business. - Interfaces with vendors to assess their technology and to guide their product roadmap based on Citi requirements. - Demonstrates an in depth understanding of how own sub function integrates within the overall technology function to achieve objectives; requires a good understanding of the industry. - Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources. - Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions); may communicate with external parties. **Qualifications**: - 7 years of relevant work experience - Business capability modeling - Experience and knowledge of Financial Processes, previous experience in Finance functions will be considered a plus. - Analytical mindset to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations - Be able to pay attention to details while keeping the higher goal in mind - Collaborative and be able to motivate, empower, challenge, and stimulate their team - Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives - Experience in supporting transformation projects and organizational change initiatives - Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills; being able to analyze data, draw conclusions, identify trends and issues, and diagnose root cause of issues - Proven experience in providing quality control and oversight to a portfolio of projects. - Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment - Excellent organizational and project management skills - Advanced English is required **Education**: - Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
