**BAT COSTA RICA** **IS LOOKING FOR AN ASSISTANT COMMERCIAL FINANCE MANAGER**

**SENIORITY LEVEL**:Management Entry Level - no direct reports

**FUNCTION**: Global Business Services Finance

**LOCATION**:Costa Rica

**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES**

This role supports the Trade Finance team with in-depth analysis of trade returns and NCL as well as support of reporting and consolidation. The person will be responsible to reconcile, analyze and generate insights to support business strategic discussions. The role is expected to support analysis decisions that may impact BAT’s profit such as own retail, travel retail, vape shops as well as trade finance management consolidations. This position requires ability to multi-task, set priorities and be able to work under time pressure as the person will be joining a fast-paced environment and a very dynamic team.

**Reports to**:Commercial Finance Manager

**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**
- Report financial statement lines (P&L, B/S and CF) related to returns and support with reporting consolidation, OTIF, as per IBPM calendar.
- Support monthly review meeting with analysis by product category and identify risks and opportunities to be presented to the end market Trade Finance Leadership team.
- Managing the execution of the CSF budget for trade, providing visibility and reporting progress. Being a key business partner and point of reference to bring knowledge on how it is driven to senior management.
- Guarantee SOX controls are driven and maintained.
- Provide inputs into monthly management deck to be shared with Trade Marketing teams across US.
- Ensure ad-hoc requests are managed on time, respecting the set of priorities and business as usual (BAU) deliveries.
- Engage with collaborators to promote commercial driven discussions as well as manages process optimizations, improving business performance.
- Help identify initiatives that have a business focus and are commercially viable.

**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE**

We are looking for a great teammate, collaborative with strong self-awareness to float through conversations at different levels of the organizational hierarchy. Someone who understands the impact of the accounting process and practice and how to process a manual Journal Entry (JVU) and be able to raise requests through workflow and e-flow.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related areas
- Very good command of English, spoken and written. (B2+/C1)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related area.
- SAP, ECC, and Excel strong knowledge. Financial modelling based on large databases, including BPC-embedded pulls
- Experience with data analysis, finding common trends and deviations and financial modelling based on large database including BPC Embedded pulls.
- Data analytics knowledge, such as Power BI or any other tool is welcome. Salesforce and MicroStrategy knowledge are a plus.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and multi-tasking.
- Dedicated and proactive with strong Business Partnering skills.

- CPA qualification is a plus
