**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES**

**Reports to**: Pension & Benefits Accounting Manager

**Reporting Level**:Managerial
**Geographic Scope**:America

**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**

The Role:

- Participate in the monthly general ledger closing process which may include performance of system-related activities and controls utilizing SAP.
- Responsible for preparing pension and postretirement accounting journal entries and analyses.
- Responsible for consolidated pension and postretirement reporting.
- Responsible for performance and documentation of various internal controls. Assist in controls testing to comply with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
- Partner with other corporate functions, such as Tax, Treasury, HR, and LEX. Assist with special projects as needed.
- Prepare documentation and financial statements for employee benefit plan audits.
- Assist other team members as needed.
- Develop, suggest, and implement new procedures to ensure efficiency and effective operation of processes.
- Communicate with stakeholders by solving issues, providing guidance, and promoting a customer-oriented culture.

- Do you have any experience working with other markets in America?
**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- At least 2 years of experience in Accounting, preferably a combination of public and industry.
- US Payroll and/or Benefits/Pension Accounting experience is a must.
- Strong excel skills.
- SAP Knowledge
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented
- Technician/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management
- Fluent in English.
