We are currently seeking a Active Directory Engineer to join our team in Heredia, Heredia (CR-H), Costa Rica (CR).

**Position overview**

The Active Directory Engineer will provide Engineering support for a large on-premises Active Directory (AD) environment. This involves all aspects Testing and Engineering for AD (Domain Creation, Group Policy Management, Security Enhancements and Testing, etc.), as well as Testing and Engineering for AD Support Infrastructures (ex. Backup and Restore, Privileged Access Workstations, AD Security Monitoring, etc.).

**Position's General Duties and Tasks**:

- Work with other Engineering and Operations teams to complete large projects.
- Represent AD Engineering in cross-organizational efforts.
- Manage full Engineering lifecycle for AD Enhancement efforts.
- Assist with managing Lab Server fleet to required standards.
- Perform post-patching checkouts to ensure no negative impacts prior to promotion to UAT.
- Respond to user issues with logons, passwords, lockouts, etc.
- Respond to user requests for Groups, OUs, Users, etc.

**Qualifications**
- Active Directory Experience - Advanced understanding of, and experience with:

- Group Policies
- LDAP Connectivity
- Kerberos / NTLM Authentication
- PKI Integration with AD
- Modern AD Security Concepts
- AD Port and Protocol Knowledge
- Non-Windows Applications Connecting to AD

**Nice to have**:

- Risk and Security Awareness
- Experience with communications through Firewalls.
- Good Communication Skills
- Technical Documentation Skills and experience
- Network Capture Review Experience

**Education Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
