What this job involves We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Finance Services Team Leader to join our team: **Location**: Heredia, Costa Rica. **Work schedule**: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. **Work model**: Hybrid. **Contract Type**: Indefinite-term What is your day to day? Coordination of an Accounting Team. Meet deadlines, own and of the team "Monthly Scorecard". Monitoring of spending and allocation in accounting accounts. Analysis of balance sheet accounts of assigned clients and the team “BSR”. Promote continuous improvements and standardization of processes. Develop team capabilities. Promote formal training. Financial support of assigned clients and those of the team. Provide and analyze the information in the different information systems, to issue consolidated reports. Support in transitions of new clients. Supervision of delivery of financial statements of external accounting studies Registration of income recognition Reconcile billing reports, T&E, Payroll vs accounting Analysis of the age of balances of accounts receivable, for the calculation and recording of reserve of uncollectible accounts Record Revenue recognition and Compliance with internal control and the policies and procedures for Revenue Recognition. Preparation of Federal Income Tax Withheld adjustments Preparation of financial information reports to operational areas. Desired experience and technical skills Required Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting or a related field. 5+ years of experience in a similar position in a corporate environment, including P&L and balance sheet analysis, accounting reconciliation, and monthly closing. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Fluent in English level Knowledge of accounting systems (preferably PeopleSoft). This position must be able to interact effectively with both the internal and external client teams daily, especially Facility Managers, Project Managers, Finance staff, and vendors Strong Microsoft Office skills.
