Edify Software Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Chief Sales and Marketing Strategist to drive business growth and success. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with our vision and objectives.
About the Role
We are offering a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, with benefits including 100% remote work from Costa Rica, monthly internet connectivity allowance, private health insurance, and educational assistance.
Job Description
The Chief Sales and Marketing Strategist will lead the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans, including B2B sales pipelines, key account management, and customer acquisition. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to use data in decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with Edify's vision and objectives.
- Overseeing and managing the performance, development, and alignment of marketing, sales, and customer relations representatives.
- Identifying market trends, opportunities, and threats within the software consulting industry.
- Leveraging emerging technologies to drive sales and marketing processes in innovative ways.
- Maintaining a deep understanding of customer needs and defining target markets through market research.
- Collaborating with senior management to shape and implement overall business strategies.
- Leading recruitment, hiring, and providing appropriate training for the development of staff under their supervision.
- Supervising the sales team, setting goals, providing mentorship, and ensuring achievement of targets.
- Negotiating contracts and pricing with clients to ensure profitable outcomes.
- Monitoring and reporting on sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Managing relationships with external agencies for website development, content creation, and advertising.
- Supporting senior management efforts to position Edify as a thought leader in the custom software development industry within the EdTech space.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in sales and marketing within the software, IT, or consulting industries.
- Experience managing high-performance sales and marketing teams.
- Experience in B2B sales and marketing, particularly in selling complex software solutions or services.
- Previous experience in the EdTech sector is a plus.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data in decision-making.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, SEO/SEM, social media, and marketing automation tools.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) and project management tools such as Click-Up.
