**Delivering Exceptional Customer Experiences**

As an Escalation Engineer at Microsoft Corporation, you will be part of the Customer Experience and Success (CEnS) organization, responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences through strategy, design, and implementation.

Your technical expertise will drive Product Engineering engagement, collaboration, and conflict resolution, ensuring seamless troubleshooting and remediation processes. You will work closely with Serviceability and engineering teams to improve incident resolution and service deficiency.

This role requires strong technical talent, with the ability to thrive under challenging circumstances and engage in difficult situations while learning. You will be expected to manage complex, politically charged, and financially important cases, driving process, tool, and service delivery improvements.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues using code-level techniques.
  • Drive Product Engineering engagement, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
  • Work alongside Serviceability and engineering teams to improve incident resolution or service deficiency.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • Language: Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Windows System Administration, Configuration: Registry, File Storage, User Accounts and Access Control, Event Logs and Auditing, Performance, Resource Monitor, Networking (TCP, IP).
  • Desirable experience in one or more areas: Automated installation of Windows, User Profile management, Windows Update management, Kerberos and delegation, Bitlocker administration, Windows Shell configuration and management, Windows Activation, Licensing, Remote Desktop Services configuration and management, Clustering, Printing configuration and management, Resilient Storage technology (clustering, storage spaces), Server management tools, Hyper-V management and VM deployment, Application installation and management, Windows backup and VSS, PowerShell scripting, Active Directory topology and management, Network Tracing and analysis, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) deployment, management, Remote File Systems (SMB), Group Policy management, DNS deployment, management, Troubleshooting hangs and crashes in Windows, Network Virtualisation (Hyper-V, SDN), Troubleshooting performance issues using PerfMon and other tools.
