Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Localization Project Manager to lead our projects from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will work closely with language specialists, localization engineers, terminologists, product management and development, internal business partners, and external vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project timelines, ensuring deliveries meet deadlines and release quality criteria.
- Identify resources needed for successful project completion.
- Develop project plans and workflows, manage time, budget, resources, and quality control.
- Create and control project budgets, track costs, and ensure timely issuance of purchase orders and invoices.
- Analyze project risks and define/execute mitigation plans as needed.
- Develop tools and techniques for task distribution and team member performance evaluation.
- Lead project/client/business partner meetings and conference calls.
- Present regular reports to clients, corporate office, and peers on project progress and forecast.
- Maximize team utilization, preparing alternative work for periods without projects.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in project management (preferably in the localization industry).
- Experience in independently managing localization of various collateral.
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Ability to successfully manage teams and provide feedback.
- Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Familiarity with project management principles and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in translation memory tools (Trados, SDLX, GlobalSight) and Globalization Management Systems.
