Job Description

The Third Party Risk - Manager will work closely with the Senior Vice President of Third party risk to develop and implement an approach for tiering, monitoring, assessing, and mitigating third-party risks.

This role requires collaboration with business areas to understand their requirements and implement a process to identify critical suppliers. It involves using internal and external resources to understand the risks related to third parties and coordinating with business areas to manage these risks effectively.

This position is responsible for building a network of partners across the business areas to ensure that risks are being monitored and managed appropriately.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining the enterprise third-party risk governance framework.
  • Support the team's efforts to monitor key suppliers' risks to the organization through external and internal data sources.
  • Accountable for identifying high-risk suppliers.
  • Work with business units and compliance to ensure accurate supplier identification and effective process management around monitoring and communicating risks to the business.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, compliance, Cyber, and other functions to aggregate and centralize supplier insights, developing a comprehensive risk dashboard for top-tier vendors.
  • Report on gaps and risk concerns, working closely with supplier relationship managers to hold suppliers accountable for remediation or quantify and accept risks where appropriate.
  • Manage a supplier warning list, restricting or reducing the use of high-risk suppliers based on the risks they pose to the organization.
Requirements

Undergraduate degree, preferably in pre-law, finance, accounting, economics, or risk management.

Graduate degree and/or relevant professional risk management qualification are a plus.

At least 5 years of business experience, with at least 2 years in supplier management or compliance.

Strong technical skills related to risk management or supplier management for a globally regulated organization.

Ability to maintain processes in highly regulated environments that meet regulatory obligations.

Critical thinking skills to identify problems and develop innovative solutions.

Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
