Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and mitigating operational risks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of standardized reports and regular updates for management on matters being handled, including collection and review of requested deliverables to ensure completeness and responsiveness of submissions and timely escalation and resolution of potential issues.
  • Identification of process and control improvements.
  • Development of requirements and techniques to gather third-party related data sets, normalize, and prepare for final reports.
  • Analysis of MCA (Manager's Control Assessment) risks, controls, assessments, trends, supplier life cycle, and root causes behind incidents.
  • Analysis of third-party scorecards/Key Indicators/KPI/KRI and use performance management tools in an attempt to measure, monitor, and mitigate exposure (risk/financial/regulatory).
  • Assessment of risks and driving actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
  • Governance and oversight may include (not limited to) technology operational risk, risk, etc.
  • Establishment and maintenance of a robust control environment and culture within the Citi businesses worldwide.
  • Assistance to management in achieving and maintaining strategic objectives, promotion of efficiency, reduction of the risk of loss, and help in ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assistance in assessing the current status of all regulation-related controls.
  • Recommendation of control enhancements as needed.
  • Identification of best practices to be shared with global Citi businesses.
  • Development and maintenance of tracking metrics for management reporting and escalation.
  • Establishment of a rapport with Business Managers, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Legal.
  • Development of a broad and detailed understanding of the organization's landscape, culture, and technology.
  • Understanding of the various businesses and applicable regulations which govern.
  • Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Exercise of independence of judgment and autonomy.
  • Acting as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  • Ability to manage teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years experience in Operational Risk is a must.
  • Other risk and control disciplines would be a plus - credit, and market.
  • Knowledge of preparing reports/reporting/power point presentations/proficiency of putting data together.
  • Knowledge/experience with third-party.
  • Project Management skills/time lines/milestones/deliverables/day-to-day project management skills.
  • Experience in Internal Audit or Financial Control would be desirable.
  • Expertise in the following is beneficial: Fraud Awareness and Risk Management, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, specifically.
  • Management of a global operations and complex environment that includes global teams.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal & written.
  • Advanced English level.

Education

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
