Collections Team Manager

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for leading a team in the collection and resolution of high-profile and complex accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial collections, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to interact with diverse customers.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing escalated collection calls and disputes, developing and maintaining payment schedules, and taking immediate action on priority accounts. They will also oversee the management of customer credit limits, recognize potential write-offs, and recommend action to be taken.
This role requires a high level of independence, detail-oriented work, and strong planning, organizational, and communication skills. The individual should be able to adapt to different personalities and maintain a calm demeanor in conflict situations.
The Team Leader will also be responsible for training and monitoring new employees, observing training needs, and making recommendations for policy or process improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 2 years Commercial Collection experience or 6 years of Commercial Collection experience in lieu of degree.
