Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Microservices Developer to join our team at NTT DATA Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient microservice architectures using Java.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems using Java and related technologies.
  • Lead the planning and design of product and technical initiatives, mentoring junior developers and team members.
  • Drive improvements in engineering techniques, standards, practices, and processes across the department, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand user requirements and provide technical guidance.
  • Partner with the technical team to determine systems planning, scheduling, and implementation timelines.
  • Participate in Agile planning and estimation activities to break down large tasks into smaller tasks.
  • Communicate with customers and meet their various needs.
  • Provide technical leadership and issue resolution support to the team.
  • Design reusable frameworks and environment management systems.
  • Mentor junior team members and support interviews and evaluations.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Java, Maven, Spring Boot, Scrum, JIRA, GitHub, and Eclipse/IntelliJ IDE.
  • Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure).
  • Hands-on experience with a Platform-as-a-Service (PAAS) such as OpenShift or PCF.
  • Good understanding of DevOps pipelines and experience with Continuous Deployment/Continuous Integration (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Experience in solving technical issues through thorough research and investigation.
  • Working knowledge of testing tools like TestNG or Selenium.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with migration from PCF to OpenShift or from on-premises to cloud environments.
  • Certifications in Java, Cloud, DevOps, Scrum, PCF, or OpenShift.
