**Job Summary:**
OTSI has an opening for an Endpoint Engineer to provide operational support and development services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing operational support, including operating system releases, upgrades, service pack installations, bug fixes, security updates, and system changes.
Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues on end-user systems.
- Tune systems for optimal performance.
System Build and Support:
- Build new systems (laptops and desktops).
- Provide configuration support and synchronization support for smartphones.
Customer Communication and Issue Management:
- Ensure timely issue status updates to customers and IT management.
- Create a formal mentorship with IT Desktop peers to share knowledge and best practices.
Team Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
- Network with cross-functional teams to leverage best practices.
- Identify current process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Microsoft systems (XP, W7) and Mac OS X.
- Must have demonstrated the ability to work successfully as part of a team.
- Must have experience implementing departmental policies and procedures.
Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and Mac operating systems.
- Knowledge of PC hardware architecture and desktop build methodologies.
- Understanding of other IT disciplines, including Telecom, Networking, Messaging, and Server operations.
- Proven customer service skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
