About Route
We are an engineering company that develops next-generation technologies to change how users see, share, and discover products.
Our software engineers design, build, and maintain integrations with ecommerce platforms, supporting over 7,000 merchants.
The eCommerce Platform team provides the critical connection between our internal systems and merchant systems, enabling our products across thousands of merchants.
Your Role
You will design and implement inbound and outbound communication interfaces between Route and integrated platforms.
As a software engineer on this team, you will:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and improve backend software.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Embody a culture of innovation, transparency, and radical candor.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must:
- Be fluent in English.
- Work hours based on local time in Utah.
- Be contracted through a third-party agency.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has:
- A BS/BA degree in Computer Science.
- A solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with one or more general-purpose languages (e.g., Javascript, PHP, Go, Java, C#).
- The ability to learn other languages as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates with experience in:
- AWS, SaaS software systems, microservices, or REST API design.
- Go or NodeJS.
- Contributing to architecture decisions on high-security, reliable, and scalable systems.
- Working with ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce).
