Job Description

This Data Analyst position is part of Pfizer's Global Business Services (GBS) Transformation and Project Management (T&PM) Office, responsible for driving simplification, innovation, and expertise across GBS and accelerating GBS strategy through an integrated and centralized metrics, innovation, and transformation model.

The Sr. Analyst will work on data analytics and related projects in the Metrics & Measurement team, specifically supporting the Fuse (ServiceNow technology) products Reporting-KPIs and Data Insights workstream. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering metrics & analytics with a focus on cross-functional alignment and coordination in project delivery with key stakeholders and partnership with Digital.
  • Identifying and establishing metrics portfolio, delivering reports and analytics & insights, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Generating analytics using Excel and Visualization Tools like Tableau, managing, tracking, and presenting project and work progress against critical metrics to management on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Participate in scoping, planning, controlling, and execution of various cross-functional analytical projects and analytical solutions support to deliver quality services to the business.
  2. Work closely with the Sr. Project Manager or Project Lead to set stakeholder expectations and maintain alignment and project performance to achieve objectives and success criteria.
  3. Coordinate and complete reporting activities, analyze data, and assure tasks are executed in quality and timely manner in support of achieving performance against targets.
  4. Provide tactical and project management support on assigned finance initiatives by utilizing and driving a standardized, end-to-end project management approach (including governance methodologies and toolsets) to ensure consistency and quality.
  5. Support work-stream development and tracking of workplans and schedules (including specialized resource requirements, key milestones, and project dependencies) to ensure projects are consistently delivered on time.
  6. Control and report on project financials to ensure projects are consistently delivered on budget.
  7. Support the identification of potential risks, risk analysis, and mitigation plans.
  8. Participate in problem-solving, structure proposed options/solutions, and contribute to implementing approved solution with discernment.
  9. Develop a regular cadence to report/present progress to project and senior management against critical metrics.
  10. Support continual alignment on corporate and organization strategy, vision, mission, values, and priorities and ensure actions and behavior are consistent and supportive.
  11. Work and develop relationships with other teams such as colleagues in GBS and Digital to understand diverse requirements, processes, and systems, identify, and complete investigations of data trends and outliers to determine root causes of issues and recommend and track implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in finance or related field and exposure to project management process/activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business, finance, or related field; MBA, project management credentials (i.e., PMP, 6 Sigma) preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge in the field of data analytics, reporting, and metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of project management and development procedures.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills and comfortable influencing and motivating teams with no direct authority over them.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills and ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical skills and ability to understand and interpret data.
  • Attention to details and self-starter willingness.

You have a strong understanding of data analytics and its application in a business context. Experience working with project management methodologies and tools such as ServiceNow, Excel, and Tableau is essential. Additionally, you have a passion for innovation and process improvement and are committed to delivering high-quality results.
