The Opportunity

This role is part of our Costa Rica-based Cardiac Rhythm Management Unit, where you'll work closely with our team to deliver exceptional customer service and technical support. As a Remote Care Specialist I, your primary responsibility will be to provide remote monitoring inquiries and complaints assistance to healthcare professionals, Abbott field personnel, patients, and internal departments.

You will:

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding technical issues and/or complaints, documenting patient experiences and reporting adverse events accurately.
  • Triage calls, following approved troubleshooting procedures, and seek guidance from other personnel when necessary.
  • Provide product support, including website navigation, mobile device support, telecommunication connectivity, information, set-up, and troubleshooting for Abbott-proprietary remote care products.
  • Participate in after-hours 'on-call' support, rotating among department employees to answer questions and troubleshoot with customers and Abbott field personnel.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school degree or equivalent.
  • +1 year of experience in customer service, product support, IT, telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • A strong ability to work in a Contact Center environment under close supervision.
