About the Team: The Business Technology (BizTech) division at Chainalysis is dedicated to crafting intuitive, scalable, and secure technological experiences that propel the growth of Chainalysis and empower our workforce to excel. The Manager of IT Engineering position is pivotal, overseeing all core IT engineering functions that ensure employee productivity, including Collaboration, BizTech DevOps Infrastructure, Corporate Networking, Client Platforms, and Identity Management. Successful leaders in this role are adept at formulating a vision and strategy for their areas of responsibility while effectively communicating with all business partners. They demonstrate empathy and support for their teams, investing time in coaching individual engineers and engineering managers, and exhibit curiosity about the technologies we develop, deploy, and manage. The ideal leader prioritizes a people-first approach, focusing on both the user experiences we create and the well-being and career advancement of team members.

Key Priorities for the First Year:

  • Collaborate with peers and business partners to build and implement a roadmap that harmonizes our scaling needs, maintains high user experience standards, and ensures company security.
  • Work alongside engineers within the team and across the organization, empowering the team to take ownership of the architecture and technology decisions essential for the successful delivery of our core IT experiences and systems.
  • Define and implement engineering best practices in collaboration with the team to establish the most intuitive, scalable, and secure productivity environment for our employees.
  • Attract, recruit, and nurture the talent necessary to execute our roadmap, emphasizing adaptability, resilience, and diversity.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in similar roles, ideally within technology-focused organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability as a strategic planner and meticulous organizer in a comparable position.
  • Experience in developing cloud-native environments and SaaS technologies.
  • Prior experience managing distributed or remote teams.
  • Ability to navigate complex compliance and regulatory landscapes, guiding the team in building solutions that meet these requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
