Job Description
As a Customs Compliance Specialist at Emerson, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's adherence to regulatory requirements. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting Restricted Party Screening and analyzing potential matches.

In this position, you will also be responsible for performing audits of import and export documentation on behalf of Emerson entities, ensuring that corrective actions are taken. Additionally, you will create and maintain performance metrics, conduct basic analysis of transactions and reports based on U.S import and export programs, and support the import HS classification process for entities in the U.S.

You will also be required to request annual Certificates of Origin from suppliers, track certificates received, and perform accuracy reviews. Furthermore, you will follow distributors to complete the Due Diligence Questionnaire into Oracle Checkpoint and maintain proper record-keeping for activities mentioned.

The ideal candidate will possess intermediate knowledge in Customs & Trade Terminology (valuation, country of origin, incoterms, commercial invoice, and freight documentation). Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in English (Minimum B1) are essential. Additional foreign languages are a plus.

Intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is also required. Prior experience in a work environment, working with internal or external customers, is necessary, preferably with 6 months to 1 year of experience.
