Experian's Marketing Services Compliance and Privacy team is a key part of the company's NA Data Office, led by the Chief Data Officer. The team's primary responsibility is to ensure that the Business Unit operates in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, industry self-regulatory guidelines, and builds a superior governance program and operational risk policies. The role involves working closely with Corporate Compliance, Corporate Audit, Legal, Product, Sales, Data Acquisitions, and counterparts in other NA Business Units to ensure compliance of all cross-business unit efforts and innovations.
Key Responsibilities- Create, maintain, and communicate compliance standards, policies, and procedures to ensure they are disseminated, understood, and implemented across the business.
- Develop and deliver compliance education and awareness programs to internal teams on Risk, Data Privacy, and Marketing Services policies.
- Act as the 1LOD Compliance point of contact for questions from Sales, Product, Data Acquisition on new product offerings and custom sales opportunities.
- Implement a risk-based approach to identifying, monitoring, measuring, and reporting various types of compliance issues. Develop action plans, schedules, status reports, and metrics to improve risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee and execute the Corporate-sponsored Third-Party Risk Management Program.
- Develop remediation plans for compliance issues.
- Support client discussions on compliance and Experian policy as required.
- Lead, coach, guide, train, and develop subordinate staff assignments.
- Significant experience in compliance, privacy, and risk management.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations, including FTC, FCC, TCPA, CCPA, GLB, FCRA, CFPB, and COPPA, as well as industry self-regulatory guidelines (DAA, ANA, IAB, IAPP).
- BA/BS required; JD preferred.
- 4-7 years of functional experience.
- IAPP CIPP US privacy certification preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proven experience developing and submitting audit and compliance reports to governing bodies, legal entities, and external authorities.
- Solid understanding of assessing and designing internal controls in an enterprise-level environment.
