About World Business Lenders, LLC:

We provide general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States.

This is a Contract/Consultant position. Generally, working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, although hours worked may be greater based upon operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Co-lead and manage accounting department staff and related functions, including accounting for fixed assets, performing loans, non-performing loans and REO, fees, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses among others.

We are looking for a senior financial professional with a strong background in accounting and finance who can lead our accounting team and play a critical role in the Finance department.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure conformity to accounting standards and best practices in accordance with GAAP.
  • Oversee WBL's ledger and financial accounts and other financial reporting functions.
  • Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of financial statements and related reports.
  • Guarantee compliance with all applicable accounting policies, procedures, processes and internal controls.
  • Manage the reconciliation of all GL accounts.
  • Work in collaboration with the Audit Department to oversee monthly close and annual reporting for 1099s and K-1s.

Qualifications:

  • CPA in active status required.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree (preferred) in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 10 years of general accounting experience and demonstrated technical accounting knowledge, ideally in a mortgage or business lending company.
  • Experience with Sage GL is preferred.
  • AP experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, 11 paid holidays per year, and a contract/consultancy position.
