Why Patients Need You

Your contribution will enable the US market to maintain compliance with the MAPP policy, ensuring that medical, scientific, and philanthropic initiatives are conducted in accordance with anti-corruption regulations. This will ultimately lead to breakthroughs that improve patient outcomes.

What You Will Achieve

As a key member of the Pfizer team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies. Your work will involve:

  • Ensuring adherence to MAPP policy and related country-specific regulations.
  • Documenting all interactions with healthcare professionals, medical associations, and business parties in MAPP Navigator/Engagement+, Ariba, and other relevant systems.
  • Verifying payment information and ensuring accurate documentation in MAPP Navigator/Engagement+, Ariba BOD, and other systems.
  • Reviewing and approving contracts and funding confirmation letters to ensure compliance with MAPP policy and country-specific regulations.
  • Creating and managing payments, monitoring progress, and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Supporting market colleagues with payment-related inquiries and ensuring timely completion of payments.
  • Liaising with Legal and Local Compliance to address any exceptions or questionable documentation.
  • Troubleshooting system issues and collaborating with the technical team to resolve payment-related problems.
  • Maintaining effective communication with internal stakeholders, including GBS colleagues, MAPP colleagues, initiators, product leads, category leads, medical directors, compliance leads, legal department, finance, and country managers.
  • Developing training materials and conducting training sessions to ensure that new users understand the compliance process and that experienced users are refreshed on key concepts.
  • Providing regular status reports on transactions and following up with markets on pending open tasks, policy deviations, event confirmation, and reconciliation requirements.

  • Proficiency in MS (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work under pressure handling multiple activities simultaneously
  • Able to work in an ambiguous and fast-paced change environment
  • Good organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple priorities
  • High level of self-motivation, energy, and flexibility with a 'can-do' attitude

  • Previous MAPP experience
  • FCPA terms understanding
  • Compliance controls understanding
  • Ariba knowledge (to create payments)
  • MDGS knowledge (to read vendor master data)
  • SAP knowledge (to investigate failed payments)

Although this position offers flexible work arrangements, it is required for the selected colleague to reside in Costa Rica to perform the job. Relocation is not offered, and related expenses are not covered for this position.
