Job Title: Inside Sales Engineer I

The Inside Sales Engineer I position is responsible for supporting technical sales efforts by providing product expertise and facilitating the quoting process. This role requires an interest in the mix of technical, customer service, and sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and select model numbers based on customer requirements
  • Develop quotations based on customer and representative requirements
  • Apply system tools to provide customer product application support and review solutions
  • Review quotes for technical conformance and ensure accurate product selection
  • Participate in preparing quotation packages and ensure timely delivery to customers
  • Follow up on sent proposals to increase sales hit rates
  • Perform technical review of orders to ensure accurate processing and availability of technical requirements
  • Maintain knowledge of Emerson quotation tools and pricing policies
  • Understand and apply Emerson commercial policies and business practices
  • Ensure compliance with import/export, contract, and government requirements
  • Provide backup and support for internal and external sales personnel
  • Provide consulting support to Order Entry Analyst or Order Management when processing orders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Chemical, Industrial Chemistry)
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Portuguese language (Intermediate-Advanced) and English (Basic-Intermediate) required
  • Proven keyboard skills and proficiency in Windows & MS Office applications
  • Will to work flexible shifts and reside in Costa Rica

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid prioritizing and organizational skills
  • Self-starter with interest in technical, customer service, and sales
