**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Calibration Department Lead to join our team at Cardinal Health. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating calibration activities, supervising technician personnel, and maintaining regulatory knowledge.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate calibration activities to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Supervise and mentor technician personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Calibrate a variety of instruments, including temperature, humidity, mass and balance, pressure, force, speed, time, electrical, and dimensional instruments.
  • Develop, review, and update calibration procedures to ensure they are accurate and effective.
  • Perform validation activities and studies as needed to ensure the accuracy and reliability of calibration results.
  • Investigate and implement corrective actions for Out Tolerance deviations and other quality issues.
  • Manage the logistics process of purchasing supplies and equipment for the calibration department.
  • Support and implement cost-saving projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

EHS Responsibilities:

  • Comply with statutory responsibility under national or federal regulations related to EHS.
  • Follow established EHS procedures and policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Encourage coworkers to follow EHS procedures and report any safety concerns or incidents.
  • Participate in employee engagement activities such as EHS inspections and meetings.
  • Report EHS incidents and hazards, assist in root cause analysis, and cooperate in finding solutions or implementing improvements.
  • Complete required EHS training to stay up-to-date on the latest safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

This is a full-time position that requires a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electronics, Electromechanical, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field is required, with medical devices industry experience preferred. Preferred qualifications include statistical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and experience in FDA-regulated industries and applicable quality.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
