Job Overview

The Accounts Payable Representative II plays a critical role in the Procure to Pay department, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments to suppliers. This position involves basic to moderately complex accounting tasks related to accounts payable and other financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update supplier information in respective systems as required.
  • Perform analysis of invoices against purchase order information to determine payment eligibility.
  • Ensure accurate entry of supplier payment invoices into established systems.
  • Request necessary information from suppliers and identify approvers for invoice payment.
  • Develop technical knowledge of the company's systems to facilitate information processing.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures with high ethical standards and integrity.
  • Apply process improvement methodology to propose enhancements.
  • Provide support and respond to company needs as required.
  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently throughout the month using accounting ERP systems.
  • Verify invoices for proper approval and valid GL numbers.
  • Research and resolve supplier disputes and issues, including root cause analysis and proactive mitigation steps.
  • Comply with internal control procedures to ensure accurate financial records, particularly regarding the Corporate Approved Authority Matrix.
  • Adhere to contractual payment terms to ensure smooth business operation and maximize cash flow.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards Financial Software is advantageous.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional and customer-focused with attention to detail.
  • Experience in a corporate setting is beneficial.
  • Excellent computer skills in Excel and MS Word.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams from various areas.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or Technical High School degree.
  • Associates degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of specific accounts payable experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • B2 English Level.
  • Professional and customer-focused with attention to detail.
  • Able to process large volumes of information efficiently.
