Job Description

As a T&E Duty of Care Specialist at Smith+Nephew, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all company travelers while managing compliance with our Global Travel and Expense Policy.

This position involves developing and implementing duty of care awareness programs, communicating potential risks and safety guidelines to travelers visiting high-risk countries, and collaborating with travel management and security teams to ensure traveler safety and policy compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement duty of care awareness programs for all company travelers.
  • Communicate potential risks and safety guidelines to travelers visiting high-risk countries.
  • Collaborate with travel management and security teams to ensure traveler safety and policy compliance.
  • Provide support and assistance to travelers.
  • Continuously improve and update duty of care procedures.

Travel & Expense Auditing

Audit expense reports for compliance with the Global T&E Policy using tools like Concur Detect AI and Concur SAP.

Approve, reject, or escalate flagged high-risk expense reports within defined SLAs.

Conduct internal audits in SAP Concur for areas not covered by AI tools.

Provide input on savings opportunities and compliance risks based on audit findings.

Process Improvement:

Participate in T&E process improvement projects, focusing on policy, auditing, and help desk efficiency.

Identify areas for process optimization to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of T&E processes.

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or systems-related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in travel operations, expense auditing, or a related field.
  • Experience with travel management and expense auditing software, such as SAP Concur, and Concur Detect.
