About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Strategic Training Leader to join our team at Western Union in Costa Rica. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering strategic and innovative training programs that drive business results.

Job Summary: The Strategic Training Leader will be responsible for developing and executing a global training strategy that aligns with Western Union's customer-centric approach and business objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of adult learning processes, Lean and/or Agile management, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Global Training Strategy: The Strategic Training Leader will develop a comprehensive training strategy that aligns with Western Union's business objectives and customer-centric approach.
  • Lead Training Strategy and Execution Team: The successful candidate will lead a team of training professionals to deliver high-quality training programs that meet business needs.
  • Innovative Methodologies: The Strategic Training Leader will utilize innovative methodologies, such as AI and gamification, to drive continuous improvement and accelerate the speed to proficiency for new hires.
  • Metrics and Evaluation: The successful candidate will establish metrics for success and continuously measure the effectiveness of training initiatives during and post-implementation.

Requirements:

  • College or University Degree: A degree in management, business administration, or a relevant field is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of training leadership and operations experience with progressing increase in responsibilities.
  • Senior Management Experience: 5+ years of senior management experience.
  • Strong Influencing Skills: The successful candidate will have strong influencing skills and the ability to develop and execute global strategic and tactical plans that drive business decisions.
  • Lean and/or Agile Management: Proficiency in Lean and/or Agile management is expected.
