Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Handler to join our team at Edwards Lifesciences. As a Materials Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the receipt and transfer of materials for manufacturing, while maintaining compliance with local EH&S guidelines and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Receiving and Transferring: Receive material requisitions, locate materials, verify lots, pack materials, and deliver them to the dispatch area on time.
- Packaging and Shipping: Package goods for shipment, create pick lists and invoices, and manage airway bills using JDE, TRAX, and Forwarder software.
- Warehouse Operations: Receive materials from production returns and purchase orders, perform visual inspections, count goods received, and store them in designated areas.
- Inventory Management: Conduct monthly inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Compliance and Adherence: Review, follow, and perform job functions according to established work instructions and SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records and entering data into JDE or other systems as required.
- Additional Duties: Perform general work area housekeeping and visually inspect storage containers.
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary education is preferred, but not required; relevant experience is more valuable than formal education.
- Experience: No previous related experience is necessary, but working in a warehouse environment and operating a forklift are preferred.
- Skills: Basic computer skills, knowledge of computer systems or software (JDE, TRAX, and Forwarder), English language proficiency, and ability to comprehend policies and procedures.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a team environment, follow established work instructions, and maintain attention to detail and accuracy.
Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
