Appeals Collector Specialist

Job Summary:
The Appeals Collector is responsible for pursuing additional payment on open appeals through various means of communication, such as telephonically, online or via payment package processes with payers and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overcome objections that prevent payment of the claim.
- Gain commitment for payment through concise and factual collection techniques.
- Escalate accounts to appropriate individuals at the payer and via SSC management as needed, including accounts with lack of timely payer response.
Requirements:
- English - Spanish Language (Oral and writing 85% or higher), (B2+ or above).
- Must have a high school diploma.
- At least 1 year of experience in Customer Service or Backoffice positions.
Preferred Skills:
- A genuine interest in working with and helping customers.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and involvement.
- Demonstrated experience in providing high levels of customer satisfaction and performance in a high transaction volume/high demand environment.
- Good presentation and a polite, tactful, and friendly character.
