About the Position
As a Cloud Security Escalation Specialist, you will be the technical resolution owner and voice of authority representing our Borderless SD-WAN Escalation team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with customers and support teams to review and capture reported issues and scope them accurately.
- Collaborating with product and engineering teams to investigate, replicate, and drive critical issues to resolution while advocating for the customer.
- Working with QA teams to build system test cases to improve test coverage and help reduce field issues.
- Contributing to the knowledge base via documents and training.
- Making quality serviceability recommendations for our product.
- Working with peers to build scripts/tools that help identify customer-facing issues.
- Mentoring other engineers on sophisticated troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 6+ years of experience as a Support/Escalation engineer in a Networking/Security product.
- 2+ years of experience with scripting to develop tools/scripts.
- Understanding of Networking concepts, including Switching & Routing Protocols, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, IPSec, GRE, VPN, Firewall, Load balancing, SD-WAN.
- Experience in one or more programming languages: Unix Shell, Python, Go.
- Experience with Docker, VM, Kubernetes is highly desirable.
- Experience with GCP, AWS cloud and automation in a highly available, scalable, and distributed system production environment will be a plus.
Additional Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- CCNP/CCIE on Routing & Switching or Security is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a geo-distributed cross-functional group.
Education
A BS or MS in Computer Science or similar technical degree or equivalent experience.
